New free valuation service to launch in the Cotswolds

The 9th of February 2012 sees J.P. Humbert Auctioneers Ltd launch another free valuation day, this time in Stow-on-the-Wold, Glos, in the heart of the Cotswolds. Valuations will be held at The Preston Room in the upstairs lounge of Huffkins Tea Rooms on The Square on the same day as the Farmers Market.

There is no charge although donations to the Oxford based children and young adults hospice Helen & Douglas House will be welcomed.

Managing Director Jonathan Humbert commented: "Following the huge successes of our monthly St.Albans' valuation days we are delighted to now extend our free valuation service to this beautiful part of our catchment area where our expert team is confident there are all sorts of treasures waiting to be uncovered"

"We will be happy to assess any interesting items including gold & silver, jewellery, coins, medals & militaria, paintings, antique furniture, etc. You'd be amazed in these challenging economic times, what value can be released from overlooked items just gathering dust at home"

Drop-in valuations will offered on a first-come basis from 10am to 3pm in The Preston Room, upstairs at Huffkins, Stow-on-the Wold on Thursday, 9th February and on the second Thursday of every month thereafter.

St.Albans welcomes launch of monthly free valuation day.

[Sept 2011]

Wednesday Oct 5th 2011 saw the launch of a new monthly free valuation service at the St.Albans Town Hall, St.Peter's Street, on the first Wednesday of each month (and on 30th November). Starting at 10am until 3pm, drop-in valuations will be done at no charge, although donations to the designated charity for this event (RNLI) are welcome.

MD Jonathan Humbert commented: "The Humberts have a had a very long standing professional and social association with the community of St.Albans. I grew up here, my family's firm had an office here for decades and my Grandfather (Col.Robert Humbert OBE, Former Senior Partner of Humberts) was both a magistrate here and Chairman of the Herts CC, so I'm delighted to be bringing the family brand 'back home' ".

He added: "Although it is an affluent region it is poorly serviced by expert valuers and auctioneers so it will be fascinating to see what treasures residents can uncover in their homes, while hopefully raising some money for a good cause along the way"

The next St.Albans Valuation Day is January 4th 2012
